Look What You Made Me Do, a thriller

We just got our first serve of Taylor Swift’s new Reputation.

“Look What You Made Me Do” is here and it honors the snake used to tease it. Taylor released the song on August 24 with a lyric video that looks like a mash between Sin City and Kill Bill, basically an animated Quentin Tarantino directed crime noir.

After putting us through a longer than usual waiting period, Taylor is back and she seems fiercer than ever. “Look What You Made Me Do” is closer to “Bad Blood” than it is to anything else she’s ever made and even closer to Right Said Fred’s “I’m Too Sexy” with the chorus. While being more involved with the writing and production, Taylor still recruited her favorite co-writer Jack Antonoff for the track and Joseph Kahn for the co-production.

Created by Odd, the video follows animated eyes that look a lot like Taylor’s in a high speed chase with apparent gunshots and then morphs into snakes and broken glass. A phone call later reveals why Taycan’t come to the phone in what seems to be a reference to the whole Kim and Kanye situation.

Reputation is expected to drop on November 10 but we’re expecting more tracks from Taylor Swift, or should we say the NEW Taylor (Regina George) Swift, since the old Taylor is dead.
