Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are back with Ed Sheeran and they will melt your heart.
In a very personal song dedicated to his daughter, Macklemore returned to the scene with Ryan Lewis after their duo debut in 2012 with The Heist.
Released on August 5, “Growing Up” is different than what where used to by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis; this song isn’t a party song but rather “a personal moment of expression” a rep for the group told Billboard.
After “Thrift Shop” and “Can’t Hold Us” Macklemore said in a statement
We just wanted to put out good music, directly to the people that have been here since the beginning. Thank you for your patience. Hope you enjoy.
He added a very touching explanation to “Growing Up” saying
Our daughter, Sloane Ava Simone Haggerty was born 2 months ago on May 29th. There is nothing like the joy and happiness that comes from bringing a baby into this universe. She has filled my heart in ways that I never knew were possible. She is the love of my life. This song is for her.
Ahwwwwww!!! This is such a beautiful song that would probably go with Sloane for the rest of her life!
Add Ed Sheeran’s vocals to that and you have a heart-melting personal song for each and every single one of us! We love it!
By the way, this is how they announced pregnancy news!
The discography of the American hip hop duo consists of one studio album, two extended plays, nine singles and eleven music videos!
