Bruce Willis, James McAvoy, and Samuel L. Jackson come together to give us one of 2019’s most anticipated action-packed, psychological thrillers; M. Night Shyamalan’s Glass.
The San Diego ComicCon was packed with an array of fantasy world and comic book characters. It was also the place where Shyamalan debuted the trailer for his upcoming thriller, Glass. We’re expecting a clash of two worlds; Bruce Willis’ David Dunn and Samuel L. Jackson’s Elijah Price from the 2000’s motion picture Unbreakable will meet James McAvoy’s 24 personalities from 2017’s highly acclaimed Split.
McAvoy revealed that he had an idea of the possibility of a crossover during rehearsals for Split in 2016 but it all depended on the success of Split.
[Shyamalan and I] were chatting and he said, ‘Well, maybe if this one does well, we’ll do another one,’ I was like, ‘Really? We’re going to do a sequel to Split?’ He was like, ‘Yeah, you know, bring back David and all that.’ And I was like, David? … Oh, wait a minute.
The movie will introduce a new character, Dr. Ellie Staple played by American Horror Story actress, Sarah Paulson. She plays the role of a psychiatrist specialized in treating patients with delusions of grandeur.
Shyamalan further describes her character as someone who deals with people who believe to be comic book character.
Glass is expected to be released on January 18, 2019.
