Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson’s relationship took us by surprise and lives to carry on that tradition. The couple had only been together for a short while before they announced their engagement. The two seem to be very much in love that we’re not questioning whether they’re rushing into it or not.
Ari has now taken another step to eternalize her love for Pete. After having already named one of the songs on her upcoming album Sweetener after her fiancé “Pete,” she has now gone to change it to his full name “Pete Davidson.”
When fans asked her why she changed the name, she had a very cute and poetic response
“i like the way it looks i love his name and i love him music lasts forever. it’ll outlive any tattoo, any memory, any anything, even myself so i want my love for him and how i feel to be a part of that.”
This statement came after fans had already been wondering why she named it “Pete” to begin with to which she initially said
“He’s my fiancé. This is my album. I’m an honest and emotional artist and human being and if my openness in my work isn’t for you, that’s OK.”
The two are adorable together and have been gushing about one another on social media since they began dating, that is until Pete deleted all of his Instagram posts due to the “The internet [being] an evil place and it doesn’t make me feel good.” Now Ari announced that she will be taking some time off social media and fans can’t help but wonder if it has anything to do with wedding preparations.
Ari’s album Sweetener is due on August 17.
